The show is going to feature predominantly sacred choral music but I’ve interspersed the unaccompanied vocal works with 3 lute songs by John Dowland to provide some variety.  The composers you will hear today we’re all born with 75 years of each other and in some cases collaborated with each other.

John Taverner: In Nomine for Viol Consort

John Taverner: Mater Christi Sanctissima

John Dowland: Flow My Tears

John Sheppard: Gaude, Gaude, Gaude Maria

John Dowland: I saw my lady weepe

William Byrd: Infelix Ego

John Dowland: Third & Last Booke Of Songes Or Aires – Weep You No More, Sad Fountains

Thomas Talliis: Motet: Spem in alium, for 40 Voices in Eight 5-Part Choirs (c1559)
