This Sunday, Matthew presents The Rolling Stones – the Mick Taylor years.
Between 1970 and 1975 the Stones produced some crucial albums , such as ‘Sticky Fingers’ , ‘ Exile on Main Street’ and ‘It’s only Rock n Roll’. At his time the Stones were at the height of their powers but also they were going through a lot of changes. Mick Taylor joined the Stones after the talented but tragic Brian Jones left in 1969 and was in turn kicked out to make room for Ronnie Wood in 1975. For a few years, however the Stones featured two great guitarists. Find out about unsung heroes: producer Jimmy Miller and keyboardist Billy Preston and learn about the recipe for ‘Goats Head Soup’.
