Waiheke Radio presents Taking Woodstock, a comedy based on the true story of Elliot, an aspiring interior designer whose parents own a small dilapidated motel in Bethel, New York. Due to financial trouble the motel may have to be closed, but Elliot has a plan. He wants to hold a small musical festival, and has, for one dollar, obtained a permit from the town. When he hears that the organizers of the Woodstock Festival are having trouble finding a venue he offers his permit, the motel accommodations and his neighbours farm land.
